Redevelopment of former S.F.C. Nelson V. Brittin US Army Reserve Center

JEA was retained to provide site/civil engineering services associated with the redevelopment of this former US Armry Reserve Center into affordable housing. The project involved the demolition of existing buildings and improvmenets and the creation of a residential community consisting of ten (10) residential garden style apartment buildings containing sixty-six (66) aparments and a community building. The imprvements also involved the construction of a new access roadway, asphalt parking areas, passive recreation areas, stormwater collection & management facilities, landscaping, lighting, new utility infrasturue and services, and a minor subdivision. For this project, JEA was responsible for completion and preparation of site development plans; survey and subdivision; geotechnical investigation; design of stormwater management system to comply with the N.J.D.E.P. Stormwater Management Rules (N.J.A.C. 7:8); Planning/Zoning Board testimony; NJDEP Treatment Works Approval and Water Main Extension; and land development approvals. Construction of this project is anticipated to be commence in the summer of 2018.
