JEA was retained by the Swedesboro Animal Hospital to provide land planning and civil engineering services associated with the expansion of the existing veterinarian clinic and retail animal supply store. The expansion will enable the facility to serve as a 24 hour emergency animal hospital, expand the size of the retail supply store, and provide onsite, temporary sleeping quarters for doctors and staff that are on call. The project consists of 5,000 s.f +/- building expansion; reconfiguration & expansion of the parking lot; relocation & expansion of the septic system; new stormwater management system (including water quality control measures); landscaping; and new parking/security lighting. For this project, JEA was responsible for completion and preparation of a property survey; geotechnical investigation; percolation tests; traffic study; environmental impact statement; community impact statement; Phase I Environmental Site Assessment; site improvement plans; roadway improvement plans; utility/drainage/lighting design; Planning Board testimony; and land development approvals.
