Rain Gardens” and Drainage Improvements- Highland High School

February 3, 2018 by RMManager

Black Horse Pike Regional School District, Gloucester Township, Gloucester Co., NJ

JEA was retained by the Black Horse Pike Regional School District to provide site/civil engineering services associated with the investigation of stormwater drainage problems and the preparation of engineering design plans for construction of a stormwater management system, including rain garden, for the resolution of the drainage conditions. JEA worked in conjunction with the School District and the Camden County Soil Conservation District, who was providing partial funding for the project, to design a unique “green” stormwater strategy to correct an existing drainage problem. For this project, JEA was responsible for completion and preparation of a property survey; site improvement designs; stormwater management design; landscaping design; and approvals. This project was completed in the spring of 2016.
