JEA and J.F. McKernan Jr Architects & Associates, LLC have been retained by the City of New Brunswick Housing & Redevelopment Authority (NBHRA) to provide “as-needed” architectural and engineering services for an annual basis from 2006 to current. Under this contract, JEA will be responsible for completing and providing surveying, civil engineering, bid administration, and construction management services associated with various facility and site improvements as required by the NBHRA.

(Office Building Expansion)

JEA and J.F. McKernan Jr Architects & Associates, LLC have been retained by the City of New Brunswick Housing & Redevelopment Authority (NBHRA) to provide architectural and engineering services associated with the construction of an office building addition to house the Authority’s administrative offices. JEA prepared site development plans, technical specifications, construction details, and bidding documents for the site work improvements. JEA worked with the NBHA to aquire necessary permits from the City. The construction of this addition is scheduled to be completed by Spring of 2009.

(Capital Fund Improvements)

JEA and J.F. McKernan Jr Architects & Associates, LLC have been retained by the City of New Brunswick Housing & Redevelopment Authority (NBHRA) to provide architectural and engineering services associated with various capital building & site improvements for 2007 funding. Under this contract, JEA worked with the NBHRA and architect to establish improvement priorities and budget amounts for each task, and then prepared technical specifications, construction details, and bidding documents for the site work improvements, consisting of asphalt milling & overlay and the replacement of concrete curbs, sidewalks, handicap ramps, and fire hydrants. Since the NBHRA desired to bid various site work tasks separately, multiple bid packages were prepared. The project is scheduled to be bid in the fall of 2007 and construction completed by spring of 2008.

(Community Block Development Grant Improvements)
City of New Brunswick, Middlesex County, NJ
JEA and J.F. McKernan Jr Architects & Associates, LLC have been retained by the City of New Brunswick Housing & Redevelopment Authority (NBHRA) to provide architectural and engineering services associated with various building & site improvements to be funded by Community Block Development Grant (CBDG) funding. Under this contract, JEA worked with the NBHRA and architect to develop budget amounts and then prepared technical specifications, construction details, and bidding documents for the site work improvements, consisting of landscaping, erosion control measures, sidewalk replacement, and modifications to existing site features/vegetation to support installation of security surveillance systems. The project is scheduled to be bid in the Spring of 2009 and construction completed by Summer of 2009.
