JEA was retained to provide site/civil engineering services associated with the renovation of an existing industrial/warehouse building into an institutional laundry facility that cleans and processes laundry from nursing homes, hospitals, assisted living, and other similar facilities. This redevelopment project included the renovation of approximately 99,000 s.f. building, reconfiguration of the parking area and entrance driveway, utility services, fencing, and handicap accessible accesses. For this project, JEA was responsible for completion and preparation of a property survey; site improvement plans; utility/drainage, and land use permitting, which included utility services approvals from the Township, Joint Meeting of Essex and Union Counties, and the N.J.D.E.P. for Treatment Works Approval, NJPDES Significant Industrial User Permit, Simplified Water Main Extension. Construction is anticipated to start in the fall of 2018.
