Bottom Dollar Foods & Retail Space

JEA has been retained to provide site/civil engineering services associated with the renovation of a former Acme grocery store to accommodate a new Bottom Dollar Foods grocery store and individual retail tenant space. The existing 30,000 s.f. building is proposed to be divided into individual tenant space and renovated with interior and exterior improvements. In addition to building renovation, the proposed improvements included the reconfiguration of the parking lot, elimination of a driveway, installation of a new stormwater collection and conveyance systems, new sanitary sewer lateral connections & grease trap; extensive street, buffering, and decorative landscaping; new parking/security lighting, installation of curbed landscaped islands, and new site identification signage. For this project, JEA was responsible for completion and preparation of site improvement plans; utility/drainage/landscaping design; preparation of Environmental Impact and Community Impact Statements; Planning Board testimony; and land development approvals. Approvals were obtained in the summer of 2011 and construction is anticipated in the fall of 2011.
