JEA has been retained to provide site/civil engineering services associated with the construction of a new, two-story 25,720 s.f. office building to be utilized for conventional and medical office space adjacent to an existing Roma Bank branch on the property. The project involves the construction of the new office building; parking expansion; reconfiguration of driveways to provide shared access and parking with the existing Roma Bank branch; storm-water collection/management/ conveyance system improvements; extensive landscaping; new parking lot & security lighting; and utility extensions. For this project, JEA was responsible for completion and preparation of a property survey; environmental impact statement; site improvement plans; utility/drainage/ landscaping/lighting/stormwater management system design; Planning Board testimony; and land development approvals.
Oak Tree Commons at Bordentown Office Complex

JEA was retained by Mr. David Schiavone to provide site/civil engineering services associated with the construction of a new, two-story 25,000 s.f. office building and integration of site improvements with an existing Enterprise Rental Car facility which is to remain at the site. The project involves the demolition of an existing dwelling/tree nursery office and the construction of the new office building, parking reconfiguration to permit shared access and parking with the existing Enterprise Rental Car facility, storm-water collection/management/conveyance system, wet pond (for aesthetics and stormwater management), extensive landscaping, lighting, and utility extensions. For this project, JEA was responsible for completion and preparation of a property survey; geotechnical investigation; community impact statement; traffic study; site improvement plans; utility/drainage/ landscaping/lighting/stormwater management system design; roadway improvements and NJDOT permitting; Planning Board testimony; and land development approvals. Construction of this project is anticipated to commence in the Summer of 2009.
Gardner Funeral Home
Black Horse Pike, Borough of Runnemede, Camden Co., NJ
JEA was retained by Gardner Funeral Home to provide site/civil engineering services associated with the preparation of a conceptual site development plan for a proposed expansion of the existing funeral home and expansion of its parking lot. The conceptual site development plan involved the demolition of an existing single family dwelling and garage and the construction of an 8,000 s.f. building addition, expansion of the parking lot, and reconfiguration of the access driveways. For this project, JEA was responsible for the creation of a base plan utilizing aerial photography, preparation of a conceptual site development plan; review of redevelopment ordinances; and presentation to the Borough Planning Board as part of conceptual review.
Park Ranger’s Office at Bull’s Island State Park

Teal S. Jefferis, PE, while under previous employment, served as Principal Engineer and worked with Studio Tagland Architects, of Harvey Cedars, NJ, to provide to the State of New Jersey, surveying and civil engineering design and construction management services associated with the construction of a new Park Ranger’s Office at the Bull’s Island Recreational Area on the Delaware River in Hunterdon County, NJ.
For this project, Mr. Jefferis was responsible for managing the completion of an existing condition survey and preparation of conceptual planning, site engineering design, design development documentation, construction documentation, specifications, utility connection and service design, septic system design, permitting, and construction oversight. Mr. Jefferis also attended project design and progress meetings with the State, reviewing agencies, and design team.
